Apply to Extend my mom's visitor stay

3 p1 z2 Y, {# x' `( VMy mom's visitor status in Canada is expiring. We are planning to apply for her extension. I did read the application package but have two questions:

/ y9 @- f9 c4 G6 i# i* A: u' i1. The reasons for an extension. Can we use the reason: we want her help to take care of our new born baby? There are people say it is a bad reason. Is it true?

5 g, X3 V& R* b- ]( M$ b2. In the Document Checklist - Visitor. Proof of means of support, as specified. Since we are taking care of her, what are the required documents for "proof of means of support"?
