提供本地新闻，这个消息对大家还是很有参考意义的，如果政府控制价格，市场会有新的变动。

The house prices are ridiculously high now, they will drop in 1-5 years for sure. It is too risky to buy a house now, you may end losing a lot of money. Now those construction workers make tons of money, if you buy a house, you are donating money to them. If you have too much money, you can do that, if not, you need to think about it carefully.

$ Y! J7 [! i5 B) C8 [Renting is a much better option for you, it is cheaper. Try to save money now and wait for a couple of years, if prices drop significantly, then you can buy. Otherwise you may want to move other cities.

% s1 A% V: R, S8 J" \* N8 VEspecially if your husband lose his job and you have to pay $2400 for your house monthly, you will be under tremendous pressure.

There is no difference in terms of life quality between renting a house or owning a house. A house is just a place for you to live no matter you own it or rent it. The benefit to own a house is you can build equity from it. After 100% price increase in the recent years, I don't expect to get 10% increase annualy.

2 P# t+ {' ~: \% d0 X% S6 dIf the goverment put controls over the market, it will for sure reduce the risk of market crash, that means the price will keep going up--slowly, but up, for a while yet.

9 R7 u8 x  N0 h) V" D# KLZ, buy it now, but your need to do a lot of research in this market, safe bet would be: find a fix-upper in a good area.

I lived in Michener Park before and bought a house last summer. Just try to give you a rough idea how

Mortgage/Month + property tax: $1700
; D3 r) H' }, p% e$ hUtility (gas+electricity+water): $300/M, day:21 degree C Night: 19 degree C

Other expenses you may consider once you have a house:
Closing cost (lawyer fee+inspection): $1000
$ }0 _  P5 i/ G9 j# @, H. b+ }Furniture at Brick/Leon's level for two bedroom, one living room, one family room: $6K (Low level)
Garden & Lawn tools: roughly $200 last summer. need to buy much more this summer
My neighbour said it cost her roughly $300 per summer for flower bed.

I am also planning to put side at least $500/M for home maintence and improvement.

1 p, p% z- p5 G7 p7 X5 ?5 M1 wIn a word, you will have much more unexpected expesnes once you have a house. It is similar as buying a
car instead of taking a bus. But you will also have much more fun to enjoy.
