I really don't know and never thought it can be directly translated but I suddenly thought of some words that I never used, when I was driving on my long commute this morning:
, I/ M: N% N6 t2 e8 M' Dwhat about clichéd ... ' ?% K7 M# H" y/ b/ P
& p/ R/ K1 ?2 k9 L% ?# D' l# q J. y3 u5 a' V
cliché really means overused, predictable, 陈词滥调, 了无新意. for example, in chinese shows, to imply that a woman is pregnant , she will always suddenly rush into the washroom and start to vomit, that's a cliche scene. so cliche!

$ R2 [4 b( u8 a0 {: C) D/ Nso far I think "cheesy" is really THE word, as per the slang dic. |
