' R7 ?3 i; _' \! t1 XNow I think I get it clear: To change name before applying citizenship, we need to go through Registry (pay 250CAN, waiting for 6-8 )first, and submit the Name Changing Certificate to CIC for citizenship. (Passport and PR card can not be changed. )( [8 r' _" C1 F: \

Some may have different experience with whether Name Changing Certificate is needed for citizenship. I guess that may depend on the processing officer at CIC. One may be generous or careless, so it also works without that certificate." z% V( O$ e- I* l& D- |! B+ a
