the revenue forecast for the government’s fiscal plan.

, L( R3 \. h) Y# ]+ x9 z3 PYour main responsibilities will be to monitor current economic developments, analyze trends and assist in
% S1 }& y) J) z. l( l) |preparing the economic forecast for the Alberta government. Your analytical skills will be put to the test as you
: z# v  F" _4 a) h1 f) k. V8 w' qmonitor developments within Alberta and the global economy and assess the implications for Alberta’s
economic performance and major revenues. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills will enable
+ q( Y& A' q' ]  w6 @# F- Myou to present the results of your technical analysis to a non-specialist audience.

% W: i8 ~$ D- Y: U; W/ jYou will work in a team environment and be comfortable in defending your analysis and forecasts to others in
7 o* ?- Z# Q" `+ t% U( _5 ithe group. The ability to manage numerous projects will prove valuable as you will have to meet multiple
deadlines. The ability to develop or enhance forecasting models would be a definite asset.


5 b( U( H; Y; ]5 i5 GQualifications: Master’s Degree in Economics is preferred. Equivalencies (such as a Bachelor’s Degree and
significant relevant work experience) will be considered. This position requires a strong grasp of economic
* h" Q+ P' A: P* G7 g8 ~theory and quantitative methods, familiarity with economic research techniques and knowledge of econometric
) n, V# W2 U) Y1 j& @( j4 jsoftware (e.g. ESTools, Eviews, Shazam), and excellent communication skills.
