This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.; Q& m8 W. G" _* v9 ~6 E

• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.

• Respond to customer queries concerning transit information.0 o# N& |+ F& f( i& d
• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather 7 D- y7 C' |7 t& H+ z% z1 i
and traffic conditions.

• Obey and follow defensive driving guidelines, local traffic laws and Transit system regulations. ) I( Q/ _) |5 j# w$ A8 \

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
7 H* _) I) ~6 e; I, U+ {3 [. k; E• Grade eleven (11) or an equivalent educational level is required. Formal training in driving or public relations will be considered an asset.$ s; n4 T6 r# e, U" T* ?
• Proven ability to deal directly with the public, with well-developed customer service skills; the ability

• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.. ?8 T/ g# L: ]. B# n, a4 `
• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.

showing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period.

video-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training).( g' C& u+ R: q3 i0 ]0 n
• Successful completion of the ETS Training Program.

HOURS OF WORK:
6 g4 Q* f+ A* E* \# S' yVarious hours of shift work (straight or split shift), any time of the day, any 5 days of the week
+ B7 _7 R4 A' i" D1st year: Guaranteed minimum 67.4 hours bi-weekly
5 `* t' k. m9 t1 D2 {/ BThereafter: Guaranteed minimum 74 hours biweekly

Training Rate: $16.56 Hourly
