Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
2 H7 @% r( U1 cwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft- D1 z1 k- h2 ^ o; J
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
) n5 P, A* q0 d0 v/ PChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the' h' F/ U0 v4 `% v
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
! {6 [$ {" @/ }! t3 XEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for( u! q2 s. c3 Y3 g( ]
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the) K# N1 @5 Z2 ?9 t
recyclables.
7 U$ f6 i: A0 m7 L. lFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
1 V+ s% f. e8 T6 U8 Gpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
# y0 u/ ?. ^: e# UHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing1 ?- V5 l6 N+ X
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late; s, k) N$ A. k
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
. \5 L5 u+ l9 N( H2 Q' Y7 p7 ^. IInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
, U: a1 S& b w/ qfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide& Y$ R" J9 E2 D5 ]& Z- W
programs to visitors to the festival.# C$ `! P1 ~. V+ B' C$ K
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for9 c4 ?( |- E4 [' N' q
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.6 Y0 @) T6 E+ n5 p- ^) f( D
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed2 e4 Q. Y, z% ? W: N- l
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
$ q# U& I+ B$ `6 Jfestival.
1 Z- N( q9 f; e; z2 X; |" BSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is& f: b) B! I9 y( I0 w
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
% g1 [4 C: B, l% p; Tare physically fit and ready for any emergency.& i3 }; I4 W5 h4 a! j* c: v
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training5 y% D) s8 Z& P% | ?9 m. v
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.. _% k; O7 ^/ J0 o
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be7 `2 @; h: }( w8 S {0 x
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as9 l: d/ ?, ^" V- x; i
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival4 w6 h& J. a+ N" Q) L O
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
