festival.
) X2 m- D/ q7 y3 uBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and7 q# E1 l& y; l- _% x% ~
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
$ z# n) v' C, hprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
J7 _. P' o7 A' A; Q0 hChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the5 A$ h2 g6 Y# v4 U
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
& ~4 T! W5 n/ s) GEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for+ |: \. S/ p- l0 q
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
$ m8 R. F. s" |3 C( v9 wrecyclables.) h( m/ ^3 U; z- d) s9 c: F
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be ^, q& D& ^% ~3 |2 W B: s
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.+ F+ v/ i% J& g$ p, ~# g
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
3 W* z% Y! G) ?) ithem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
. i" s$ r4 T3 z! p2 hhours are part of this crew’s duties.
+ ]# i& I' E* l3 O% Q4 K8 N9 d9 HInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the% M4 d3 R! X$ Z+ x7 y; j# W; ~
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
; }& b2 t2 v+ j6 m' g7 Y3 c4 }( Lprograms to visitors to the festival.
' _) W+ b0 b4 Z# ^8 H9 _Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
; R' r/ o/ [! H! Neveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.% _ Z$ n+ [, L7 r- c. l/ J4 P
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed8 ]* j' W1 |6 n3 U" ?, t$ a, C
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the* \! }. R+ _2 q4 c
festival./ H) k+ @; ^- s! b
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is, j3 {! _2 F: L1 r0 D5 E9 N
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
/ G1 J: ~4 I5 x ^are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
7 f& F$ y8 D' Y2 bStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training1 `% i* F( O& I6 A- o
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.( n( R3 [* A4 r8 l: b+ l
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be, R8 p/ n+ o1 Z# {) v( \( G
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as' d6 w3 Y5 K0 }# c* Z/ O" G3 ^: o' M
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival* j. G5 s1 Y) @0 M4 y3 |
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
