2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students'

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1 x' z: k0 } `4 U; z' d

2) To run referenda/plebiscites as per Bylaw 2000.

3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.! ^ y% V9 h% h* h% N* O& T4 b7 r

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing $ W1 w4 b) C7 s% G& T
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations

5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/ 7 c5 D6 ^7 l0 {0 i7 p

minimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday, $ l+ c4 p0 k" o' E. F9 ^
from the first working day after nominations close until the last day
3 z* }" x4 U! x& O, Y% x; R5 V& `( x8 uof voting. These hours are to be posted in advance. K6 t! ?$ e1 D+ o) ?& h

11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during ; n6 v4 ^2 l) ]
the course of an election/referendum.

12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week ) z* P% A! k# b9 }$ ?$ W. D" {
of campaigning.

15) Perform other job related duties as required by the Council

QUALIFICATIONS:

for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'

7 q" z S2 t* H r Q3 o2) Must have some experience in student elections.5 W7 F1 s5 m0 A6 V) K; P

3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or
/ |2 t8 v+ R+ j2 e1 }any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position ) L; Q6 u! Z7 \1 F% H9 j2 t3 k

4) Willingness and ability to work varying hours.! W+ @8 Z* o( S
