DOORPERSON (RATT)

JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
: p5 v! W. k$ f) @8 p, Zpolicies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

3 Y8 x, N6 P  d. qDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ `3 z- I8 C" N9 \1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
and are University affiliated.
- Q8 ?8 J, k7 \! h4 o1 O
1 _0 d9 L6 U$ c( q7 @2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.
* }$ r: t9 T1 I4 q2 L) k
3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
of garbage.

4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
consumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

# ]& @; Q+ y9 |- Q1 h' o& F& }. `5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service  
area when required.

& e5 X" ^1 H  t6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager(s), Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

. v! X* ~; C6 f; n) v# _QUALIFICATIONS;
: k2 J! V) O! S1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
/ w6 ^: w- y- W2 [( Kof patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
calmly under extremely stressful conditions.

9 p1 Z% i7 N& ^8 g2 I& B3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.

( l( S, X: F! q1 g. n4 Z4) Must be physically capable.

5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general  
public.

Union Position/Updated August 29/2005

Wage: $7.73/hour + gratuities

Shift: 6 - 12 hours per week, 7pm - 1am Fridays and Saturdays
