; K; s9 u- ]3 {$ \1 ~JOB SUMMARY: The Doorperson is responsible to the Operations Manager
% g& a$ j  V; `" A' E  s(s) (RATT) and will enforce AGLC regulations and Students' Union/RATT  
* Z- g* d* G9 |; Kpolicies.  Protects patrons, staff and property of the Students´ Union.

+ F, f% B5 ~0 k) q( [DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Check identification to ensure patrons are of legal drinking age  
and are University affiliated.

2) Crowd control, ensuring maximum occupant load is not exceeded.
! E% w& l) M2 d6 |" E* }
3) Assists servers with bussing tables and keeping floor areas free  
of garbage.

0 a, K4 ]/ K/ D3 m' N8 H& F: t4) Patrols the area observing patron behavior, preventing over-
consumption of alcohol,  altercations, theft and vandalism.

5) Assists bartenders by stocking supplies and monitoring bar service  
area when required.

6) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager(s), Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

2 O4 N! m  E0 o3 F) _4 G! k1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
! ^% e2 n* P  c. y1 y* b( @5 m
5 H$ y: p5 P% X! U! F2) Ability to deal appropriately and effectively with a large variety  
1 z. P/ s# U" i; Gof patrons and/or possible negative situations.  To be able to work  
calmly under extremely stressful conditions.
% r+ @0 W2 p7 n9 d& ]" A5 \2 n
3) Excellent work habits, appearance and personal hygiene.

4) Must be physically capable.

& R( t$ g, M1 h% K9 ?0 h/ X# l5) Ability to deal effectively with staff, students and the general  
4 b% X: M2 A9 S) C- dpublic.

Union Position/Updated August 29/2005

Wage: $7.73/hour + gratuities

Shift: 6 - 12 hours per week, 7pm - 1am Fridays and Saturdays
