KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Serve as a key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies.
+ B+ g; `3 |9 d- L" p2. Manage technology alliance activities, including the coordination of appropriate agreements’ execution, alliance negotiations, and post-deal compliance in China.
! U: c" k* ?4 F9 B3. Develop business plan and strategy to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms.

" R" S: l: C% w: t( W6 [PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:

2 M$ B8 g. i& J; V+ ^! p, @1. MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in agricultural biotechnology related fields (such as plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant genetics, bioinformatics, etc.) are highly desirable. ' r( e6 h, k( c9 O
2. Proven experience in technology identification and licensing within China, or equivalent experience with biotechnology research and commercial licensing agreements is preferred.
; \* E+ W/ }1 K& d5 S8 M4 B3. Working knowledge of Intellectual Property policies, including Chinese and international patent regulations and procedures would be advantageous. % U2 t& e' D. `$ z+ V) _
4. Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationships with major biotechnology institutes in China would be advantageous.
6 i/ {6 _) W( o! J5. Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment. 5 }5 N! Z& v5 N( I6 _
6. Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese. , ?1 G' s. E: ^9 A/ B, ~
7. Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills.
