ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action. ( S" M1 ]9 i. N0 m) O, r0 W! N1 R" Y6 jThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

, v2 X' E, S- e- P* }Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

Qualifications:
4 J; X8 v+ i* E6 t1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.( N# Q! \6 ]; b
2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
