22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

% r# c0 B: [- v/ C3 K. wJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
- b! t! @6 |( }# qOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
4 r9 ^7 S' s& z5 p' N1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.
4 i5 h  W6 ^: \% n
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
1 r! ^! j: A6 C3 J: Ubar and debit floats.
: W: T) i9 j! K; c1 k
3 t0 E* F6 k. R! n  T' @3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
1 C6 Q/ F" o4 ]# \6 ~each shift, and upon closing.

. L& i6 X4 x, {$ Q: L3 ~4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
, o: B' P3 G. L& g4 Pattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

  R& K# {( I' z* ?, Y+ o5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

, T# z  ]/ P7 t1 I6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
4 Y% J( S0 `$ n/ [high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
. J) X6 A& c% G1 Q" ]# laccordance with Students' Union policies.

$ F$ B0 W0 z! W7 s2 U7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
( y; e/ v9 i( ?! D2 w* p2 ?8 ihigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
, }/ {7 y* `, r+ j: R To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

. p, x$ I# ]/ R+ o9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
/ H  ?5 b/ A, v9 Q5 X8 Y% W- ^1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
) l# g5 u" t1 P) P
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

3 `  p" J7 @/ {6 a6 i! X5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
; f6 u0 Z4 @, K. CUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
$ G$ O; g9 q& [8 X6 e6 tattitude.

Union position
Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
