JOB SUMMARY: Responsible to and under the general supervision of the / N D n* u$ t" G8 f! S$ w. @4 F2 ?; D* e
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the
& e8 D, V/ g( Sprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,
, Y8 V5 w( W: s' ncleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:$ o, D9 }. M; y. d+ h! J% i
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and 5 J8 G, S/ J- h8 y9 U3 h/ U9 j
beverage items.% h% B. \) {" j$ i$ Y& M( t* {
& Y8 `- h0 ^2 M
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the
/ n0 B# W# U! |! pbar and debit floats.
& A! t! R, `2 i0 ~" T! ]: n
8 T7 d. O: q. g0 Y7 n: {: ?1 }1 j3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of 6 O- x! r' c1 y+ ^: X$ G+ \
each shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular $ C. N0 h7 J! D5 Y7 F' j9 q4 j
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and
$ s# ^( n+ p" dseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.+ A( T1 i: V( B' E$ i$ D
5 X ^% i/ w% W" ]1 Q5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in
/ E$ O. e7 Y' g A# Q6 istorage areas. Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol & L' M4 f! T$ k4 a; g
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift. c6 O/ Y- u4 ~. p

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close
- R6 e* K0 N8 b0 x9 Qmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a
. A5 @% n0 D1 D- Q& Mhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in / N: T [- F& q+ n4 Y
accordance with Students' Union policies.: i) i2 \5 t3 C- b% k7 E( p0 |
+ e7 c9 ?; w( n0 N, X7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a
! ]4 h& R9 f% ^, Dhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

QUALIFICATIONS:
7 Y* f( J% Q4 {, x ^, e" Z1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.% S) G$ U4 d3 v$ x! A! b: M

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume $ C9 I# c8 |, Q8 P
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in
/ @1 p* f" T' m1 _+ C. q$ uaccordance with Students' Union policy.1 l! V, A. c' p
1 _7 `2 c0 z" O/ b* `# |4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.0 [- i' K0 a9 Z$ ~% p$ i
