SERVER (RATT)

11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
% \" o& \2 F4 J+ }( V4 }Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
: u: _: I! c1 Hcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

. B8 e; X7 g) f% P9 x- r# d+ xDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
8 P2 i+ L4 F. R- R; Aorders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
6 A, P0 K6 ~* }1 ~high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
: f  D: X, o. b8 Etotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

9 V' p# o7 E; x+ t4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
' ]1 P, R  |% z: Xand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

! n) }/ C& k( a0 b0 i# k5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
& D4 A: H% R7 F" J. I3 s9 U! Iaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
8 e# N: O+ W4 \; {! e4 N2 U' ~/ jintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
  z" a' O( P4 O) UAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

QUALIFICATIONS;
$ z' r) D) w0 \9 [9 F5 ?3 \1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
) O" \) {3 M# X$ ?5 Q
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
4 e8 O2 C* G/ H4 @; S& Boperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
) G! E, J, T1 m$ X" E9 Y+ t
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
/ ?- m/ D; K* Jcard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

* H: |/ M4 z6 T, qWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
