JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
' S) l6 m& j/ R- K4 Dcustomer service and room cleanliness.

" w- b6 L) g2 u* C8 C8 CDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
6 f7 u0 o5 F  o6 D# Y, H. v+ C9 Porders.

( x( w! F' r4 d# _6 S; a2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
: t4 V1 [; `1 l3 G; a* w
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

& Y& q' c' J! t. C  f4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
: q) C) A1 ]2 B& b# E9 y5 [4 E3 @including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

+ |* i6 z! B- M2 r, E5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
" h) o) h+ s) `& l' @intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
" p4 H& C  t2 C$ x0 S$ [" `6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
9 \. Z% A% t; FAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.
; h% t7 i% R6 p& H& l
7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
! ^+ r9 V; G- t9 |" k+ ~Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS;
) C9 ?% b! M+ y% d; w1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
- V- S' D1 K/ m  q
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
. ^& v. y1 I/ a! ~, B- n
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

8 E  i; x: U# Z( Q8 N; v4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
3 ^5 k8 c; D' v& v# ]6 Q* Tcard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
