1 V; l5 x& m. I& x& x7 Z11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
& C, h3 T* w* |% Xcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
& d, j4 W' x: \/ t% w9 Ncustomer service and room cleanliness.

, B4 Q& }6 e0 H" i% [+ X; E
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
' l2 h( K3 c$ C" w! o! A1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
0 F5 c: A7 F4 `orders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
" i# Z4 i, B4 s* P4 A4 Z. W2 ]high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

# p' g% w, l/ z2 x3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
. X/ y4 A) i8 ?- [and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.
) K6 b3 k8 @9 A. M0 @+ f  D) E
9 u3 F1 s# E% t$ ~5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
  W! w( b6 s. Z; haction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
: P1 W7 I  I5 Z6 i6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
. Z( d/ \. e' FAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
# ]! J/ F6 O4 {! o" \Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS;
6 R+ N& f  E0 M* e; [! [* ]% u1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

6 P- S1 n- Y2 ~  J) Y3 K: u9 C2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
; ?7 ~* R! D" X3 U. c# hoperation.
5 m+ ~) H4 @: w  ^& V! {
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
4 n- L5 ?5 h. X% epolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
6 Z5 K1 [/ R/ ?- d, Y, mprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

2 e1 e8 X1 W$ W3 _% vWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
( [1 `7 h" ]$ }  Bpurchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
