Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

9 c. _! O8 l% |7 [8 Y  vDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
6 ?4 u1 j7 z' ?) w" h# a& }1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
) z# H  ?1 n' N1 S  B2 D4 v
$ c3 I, v7 Q+ b( |. K% ]2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

- b% I* Y: |6 t& J) M3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

! ^# ?) J' T* M4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
/ `4 C4 Y% z. l3 H2 P6 K! _9 Wincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
8 G# v/ g/ @# {4 R3 iaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
, P9 \$ E0 f5 m6 F7 e2 ~8 S! ~( A, ZAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
; q  a- K3 S0 y& H+ aManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

% K# [/ S% |: d$ I2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
! T5 D4 E/ T$ \7 X- `- K! v
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
; r* B9 t- k2 E- Upolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
6 ?+ }; x! K: G$ y$ Ncard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
) k6 u7 ~0 ^1 v# {/ O) H% R7 Qprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
