JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
$ Q! H9 p! U0 v& {# h1 p6 g, o* Gcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
' s/ B: e/ |9 Z; n- A$ I- a4 d8 o' Qcustomer service and room cleanliness.

  N6 l2 R1 j" d6 Q' VDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
, c" h6 e; u' k' W3 i+ B( f# [" ]* _
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
- m8 G& o5 A. P  r. M: uhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
4 a5 `0 H. l; B+ C; daccordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
4 `; Y: b" f5 ?7 [1 ^9 o% ototal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
( h1 p, o% P7 @; g/ \7 o1 L% L
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
& u2 ~) c* o8 I9 h& Kincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
; c* s6 g# Q8 J/ I7 f: I% hand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

9 z4 s" J- t  O8 E5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
5 S! x# a' T  b. `6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
% }! `$ h1 Q. t( O0 t! |Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

* H/ u2 z0 d9 s- t  u- j$ Y* |7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

: A* m3 R  M0 Q4 H' s1 B% oQUALIFICATIONS;
2 ]% J9 N4 H, L8 z: w1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
! e- M4 e1 L# z+ u4 J- K6 G4 F
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
) F9 z4 u$ X0 @, toperation.

9 v0 r$ a( a* {* w" e, q8 G3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
" V6 A2 [. S5 n: q9 L( ?- q7 \, bpolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
3 `! k+ v' D3 L. q2 j2 i5 icard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
