JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
3 I* b# `# R! ?Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

5 l* F7 b1 q$ r8 h4 X5 D% N1 KDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
+ x! R5 l% R, [3 D& a; t1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
  q$ v# C* J0 c. D7 ?& e( aorders.
. s; S0 y" e0 x" o$ N* T' x
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
. y, S2 v+ L- L% F/ s5 G8 @7 Fhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
' c% P. o6 }5 }& X! stotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

/ `: Z1 s$ \( o3 C( d4 C4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
# D/ k0 W# b# R$ d4 C/ u. h# uand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
* A6 L+ O/ T8 h1 }/ _! X& Nintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
; q6 c' J0 d6 {) V  p7 x- P  WAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
" U4 P" N. V; S# ~) B3 m, P& @Manager.

+ k8 G( D8 |: A) w1 iQUALIFICATIONS;
* W$ V- s3 Y9 Q4 ?, [1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2 z, o9 U7 l  }8 P. C4 ]1 n2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
! C! C# e9 a9 j3 H1 `; {! Loperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
% b; a4 p' K) H) T, \; S+ Apolicy.
+ q& x# k5 K9 ?9 R7 e( }1 Q
( A8 h0 s% W: E! r9 y4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
2 h* \4 R8 Y5 H+ D1 _card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
