Thursdays

/ K8 R  e' o/ `) N; LJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
2 O5 U7 e4 f6 I5 G+ B6 }0 Bcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

/ o; `4 E$ x: J$ F  @& HDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
, P4 h3 d+ y. \' r6 @* u- ]orders.

0 L6 `, y: u" l9 E2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
7 s: R4 i, N1 ?, T0 xaccordance with Students' Union policies.
$ a: ]4 Y- y7 j4 W
5 {- b' g' G( |3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
5 g$ o( M" G5 t% C$ gincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
- ~: }3 ]. b) ^# F( |, Aaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
1 }6 L% G, i) h2 ?2 E( l4 _6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
9 |8 W( V/ f4 v- wAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

' B5 L- N" G9 A7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
' B" V+ }8 V# U' Y+ W2 h1 jManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
- M0 y4 ^2 O4 D) I9 m
+ j3 o6 N1 h# w1 R5 y" O: D2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
; O2 Z: n: t% q3 ]operation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
5 Q; r: Z$ ]1 q# Cpolicy.

9 ]" A" a( H. ?0 v5 h& W/ R4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
