pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
$ V7 v" T, R, K+ B% pthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
0 F& x  I2 w7 w4 u; `school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
* P  \9 Z0 \) v9 y3 fCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
. I0 f  Q; E- evenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
, q% }3 r. o5 `1 W" Metc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
( B5 j/ q2 d# \6 T3 Fparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
0 l) @- c: B9 c; _their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
. d$ P" c7 b; l" Y( ^venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
" F* O5 y! z" V8 I$ r* b9 ^# jexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
5 G5 g* v5 n. N5 w5 D8 X! p) texcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
% H7 J: _6 p! v' n5 ofunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
' S' \* }( U' M  fpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

$ u# B% X  C, [  W. x% hQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
6 T7 D9 r- Z# m/ V4 n0 ?Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
" r, }/ K+ ]2 h; p" Nfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
# O7 {. @2 Y" bof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
3 R: h4 p  P7 O' AExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
, ]! h' B' K) r. o1 V5 J. Vexperience coordinating group activities an asset.
