Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30% }& j- @& q% Y2 s
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
w- e. k1 V2 \, h/ Rthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the/ X+ I; b; x1 r+ n

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
9 b5 t- c p! oCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus4 |& o( W) |( A8 V& W( K# X. V
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,4 m3 N m( ^. `4 ]5 g5 w4 Z
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
- Q. j0 R, R1 _' `4 Y Y! oparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
3 X( K0 J2 V, Q) r" X6 ^! ptheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
' H' K( ~5 A' F! @4 T# Z9 v. a ntheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,4 h4 d, T' x+ I) A
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking5 m( y4 u9 j8 c4 s' N$ s9 O9 Y, j. n5 I
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
: j, ?7 O v \' x" ioutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city0 k# C6 u, E; s" v0 R" m
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night% g1 \& R5 m R# V$ C
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or# _2 w9 _0 {3 H4 Z) ~
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
0 N7 r. X, Q( p2 k& ksuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint" i* h/ R3 P0 X( N0 D r
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

: O1 D/ Q4 A. `3 S% m, H5 r. O( cQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in7 v# g9 c- M3 ^' m; `3 Y- _
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
% [! y; K: c4 x1 G4 r% i: qfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,* L/ M+ j& z2 W! Y- L8 u; R
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake/ P. f6 @# @& W
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
5 B% m8 b @6 ^* C5 aof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
3 H) G' f O2 @2 r4 Rskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,/ ]5 K% |' \7 f
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,( w% d: y& M2 k
experience coordinating group activities an asset. 8 u8 d& Q4 T& C$ r6 m# n2 p5 g5 M
