The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently
recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.
9195.  

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

6 C8 I+ d" a& ~$ `" S. C9 @Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
' f5 Z6 A/ s. {technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
include carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
7 S% {+ A+ Q/ \# I5 P7 Ecompounds by chromatography.
& m* G; R6 r1 @- I4 y" ?. H1 _
Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
9 c/ y1 Q: A$ Q0 sChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
