Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
, z4 A4 u. [! Z! K/ \2 h' L7 Jweekend hours.$ X0 Y9 u* m& t; u
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer S% ~, Z) e2 p: ?/ b
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
b9 I) S% w" q& lcentre.7 A R! _/ Q9 @) T
These responsibilities include:4 o1 e+ l2 E6 t& W- T/ T! ~
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
% w9 o0 Y6 V" Z6 D0 R7 S" t+ B-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.$ x \0 Z/ t6 o) p, D5 p: j! D
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
3 f1 S" @. O# u( n; Grenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to

-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 4 C& B' ]6 m8 z# B- b7 e% [

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,

of education, training and /or experience.
0 y0 {' o `6 e1 \Knowledge/Technical competencies:
8 x6 G% Q/ T; W8 [% K-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.3 Z y( z e2 A, ^8 B' c* v
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word& R* o0 C4 k# Y
and Excel. ) s) o( V. L0 a. L" Q
-Experience using and updating an information database. 1 m: B- r/ g7 c3 ?2 V( h

-Experience in using MS Access.
