schedule should be reasonably flexible.

Job description
Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
) ]. n" e* [7 I" |3 \  U+ Gweekend hours.
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
& n0 d9 L3 D$ ]+ H8 }9 Xlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
centre.
These responsibilities include:
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
4 G) b4 a' L) t; ^-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
  k( o- Y- W2 @7 Yfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
clients’ files etc.
Statement of Qualifications
Education:
-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
3 D- ?% v3 h+ K9 seducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
8 u! u7 @4 V( k6 X2 ?of education, training and /or experience.
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
$ B. ~' [# n9 D-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
' J; B, e, D/ e- @-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
and Excel.
-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:
-Experience in using MS Access.
-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA
) l4 V( M, i# u8 HAbilities:
/ f; J$ e" L. I& ~9 G-Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
8 R4 B7 R+ M5 [+ \-Ability to operate a computerized system to research information.
: Y" l! z- f3 ~: I! o1 m  X* B-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Personal suitability: Dependable, detail orientated, discrete, thorough, effective interpersonal
