You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
1 Y, M9 I# Z, @# ]4 d5 elab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the& X. L7 `6 b; q( Y
centre.2 W3 p, J" U! N0 M0 z4 @/ q3 ~
These responsibilities include:; y J( E" ~+ T( i( C. V6 l! v
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.$ n [! j$ Y0 w0 F! c7 @) G
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
: b7 I! k* s3 {2 B; ?-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and7 _4 i2 x& y. p ~
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to 5 Z. o+ x. A4 _) p' x
facilities’ maintenance, etc. # u( ~/ L- f* V- N! [
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic % B6 |( J4 t/ I) A! f5 l$ E/ e: v
clients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 3 G9 R1 p- ?' ^9 z9 V8 X$ p
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
8 V- d3 X/ j8 @9 _7 nof education, training and /or experience.
0 h- b+ l( k1 \5 N9 ]) S7 SKnowledge/Technical competencies:
* v2 \) y0 V# T5 {3 s. Y& ]7 i-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.

Assets:

-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
