6 ~% a, M' i7 kYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer9 O1 s" c9 D: l" N+ x+ Q' Z
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
- m `6 E& ~5 r3 dcentre.3 X T# t0 k, e1 c: P$ W
These responsibilities include:
5 y: i; c% t- h-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.6 o1 c4 V8 K5 M/ ~% S
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
" Q: {' X0 R/ e* h-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and3 |, T0 j; @1 u' s' t: Z4 X6 e4 H
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
3 N' |1 A6 K: M- zfacilities’ maintenance, etc. 9 g3 v. S. `1 D9 Z
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic Y/ m' L( p- H6 j0 D3 K
clients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
. Y! |8 ?: E- e3 V+ o' M6 Seducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination 0 U- B( _2 u: H
of education, training and /or experience. + D1 j( G0 s0 [% M
Knowledge/Technical competencies:3 N& x% V- C8 E/ q
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.3 }4 ?1 k! {6 \( ~ U
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word% h- D0 x8 `8 d8 A3 V
and Excel.
3 N" l, H, k; u5 x4 g7 `8 K-Experience using and updating an information database. . s( G. a* a9 j
