CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

4 I8 }* S5 B  g5 {; i5 J· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
% ?7 r# q: L" g( P& S. y7 w  ^
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

* T4 ~3 p+ M5 G$ _' B3 A  Q/ t· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

+ N* i4 b- R* V8 i9 T· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

) `, v8 x0 P# f/ B" z4 X  i) M, G· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

5 Z( I4 {; A( j- y8 r, i2 z9 C0 d2 V· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

. P% }! K5 X$ J6 t  ?& J" i/ b· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license
; o9 a  U0 Y0 v+ Y* v" Z$ L9 N8 ]
, {' r  F" o0 x9 K3 N· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
+ j5 A7 T5 G2 ~/ @% |
1 z8 l' A# H  u8 b' `& k/ f# T· Load securement certification
) _  Q, z% Z: h/ d0 v
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

* |9 S! ?" j3 l/ s- W· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

3 S0 k) N' N" e· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

% i/ a0 n( w; }/ u+ L+ G& i4 ?· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
