Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties
0 A; C4 I9 l) k9 A6 }7 S. ~
· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
  D4 G* C. n, O' E  Y$ p4 x& N
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
) }( ?3 [, {4 E: A$ S- X
· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts
) ]1 g9 E0 }8 Q3 I3 r! C& p2 V
: t4 O8 g. B# G8 f/ V, E8 x· Secure loads safely

0 i5 x0 o% M3 v4 X· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
* m, O& b; {+ h$ L4 X
0 O& X# K" X+ H9 q5 g· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

" a& W/ t8 W7 D7 B& Q/ N1 R1 _6 F· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

7 W1 }; `( [- a' F· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills
, F% \/ ]+ h# G" a% N
· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

. Y" f/ J0 S0 {, H, h' Z/ D· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
