The procurement officer is responsible for:2 S- t8 {* q/ C
- Identifying and serving the needs of each business department
+ K7 T: f; T& p; {5 J% ?! ~( r/ y- Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers+ t# d8 l; i) ?. d% ^
- Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts- p* T8 M( ~& l3 n* }) w
- Building and managing supplier relationships' k1 C. F, j% _8 X
- Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses
; D! r" A" J# l" w! G* r, n: X4 h G9 g
Requirements: & h6 a/ y2 D( Q' V! \8 A+ }; m. i
- Sound research skills
y: q- a1 m! ~% o- Excellent communication and negotiation skills 9 k+ c: p3 z. W) M/ x2 g3 e w
- Strong organization and time management skills
: B1 d7 U( C, A4 \- Friendly and outgoing personality
0 p3 H0 l3 ~/ t9 O5 E3 R- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook . I. f9 V2 x* Q2 Z+ o
- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred & ]9 ?" s, ~* Q% O2 y1 _. F
- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset
