Job Description : Description of Accountability

7 J4 H: `; [. e d# ]As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
$ o& Y# s) G. r% l& ]+ |% e; W+ c- p U( N; r
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
& F% w! G& U$ I! L% z- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
( n$ F& ?, y/ W0 x! J, A t- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
8 q! ^4 l; X# f- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. " G2 y/ j5 X, w9 `. {
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
! N2 Z6 N; v" V C1 B- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). ' f8 w1 a! \$ |5 {+ d
- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements

W$ t" I4 d! d1 s; ~, [- Previous supervisory experience 3 a. Y. b2 d; r1 q
- Strong leadership skills ; t) f) }% j, C! l+ ?% @5 ^
- A minimum of grade 12 diploma 1 K; n7 _5 r; N6 B4 O7 U! v
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills 7 J) x: \- ^2 q: E: D
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
+ l& [! X9 F% w, l7 N1 I- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
