Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
) o$ E' J" C' {8 }* y- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
- Supervise kitchen staff
# c6 T: t3 {2 y: X7 q- S- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
- Manage kitchen operations
% c, q4 J. E1 y+ Z8 L- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
- F9 I0 H% j& i0 J- Work night shifts, as necessary
# M% w0 o) u, A" \" KRequirements:
# Z2 [+ N- q  k* r- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
( `$ T" z8 p/ g' v- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
$ t+ P9 p  _1 o9 {- Good proficiency in English.
- Highly organized.
This is a contract, full-time position.
Working hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
Working schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
Salary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
Location: Simonette Camp (51.5 km west of Fox Creek), Alberta
