Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me:

I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:
3 A% V8 y9 f- R6 S* j5 w "I am sorry, what are you sending back?" # \- Y% B( `5 h) L& e
He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage." ! N; o2 a5 g3 X( k7 I/ H' X- v$ X
"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?" $ M# r6 K5 P4 J
"Yes, I did."
) [* {. o# N2 V0 R( i u) C) J6 @Finally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post.
) K& l4 d; t: x' I: _, OHe took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.
! g" F7 J9 F8 O1 y6 c"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"
& y. c% c0 j3 q: N# }" Y7 j" ~"No, I am not. I do not do those things."
8 {* w0 C5 @ J$ o. ^9 ZHe took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside.
8 W/ u( \5 l) Q/ SI gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:& U* j, ^, x- E+ a8 E" t
"Is it okay that I do not write this part?"4 x" w# g4 r/ v' S0 y
"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:

I was surprised: "oh, where do you live?"1 r" Y, T* T7 ?3 B E6 y5 z
He did not look up, and said: "I do not have a home."! d u' \ X! `5 Q" v
My heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it.
2 i9 y9 M8 A" g* WHe did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity. 1 p& U" D6 a H
