Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me: - B' W z2 Q* _. U: F5 w
"I am going to send it back".
9 @+ u! s% `6 _ |% r* FI did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:

W M# `& t# ?He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage." + t' }' ~3 h4 b
"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?" ' C& Y* m3 e) G: }4 Y
"Yes, I did."
, A5 D5 o4 }) G2 v* X, K+ cFinally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post. * x8 X' O$ a5 J
He took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.
+ p9 f" o: h) l( z; I"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"- r) y1 r: H8 [3 t# _/ n& X; j0 ?# I( S
"No, I am not. I do not do those things."3 c8 S) Y5 M; E4 p3 d* o+ J
He took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside.
. P$ ~; Q1 E0 l# gI gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:

"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:

I was surprised: "oh, where do you live?"

0 S! m: ?- N" OMy heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it.
