shaved perfectly applied, even though he is legally blind, moved to a ! o! a, ~5 |* z+ p& m; A3 X5 s# ]
nursing home today.

His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.
0 b* A7 C* l3 Y0 R F* D6 RAfter many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home,
/ U& K* d5 J* {, Nhe smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. 1 V2 ?# A7 C/ u: t

As he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual

just been presented with a new puppy.

"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."

"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my 8 v* r# [# z( R& f
room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how

It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. ! ]; O5 G9 C A4 m) V- M( k

I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I $ m o+ |- D" Y8 ?0 o3 p- ?

and be thankful for the ones that do. ' Z, I s5 J8 p6 z# |# V

Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new 1 w( @* [6 M( {8 |! A/ ^( }
day and all the happy memories I've stored away. ' e/ a( F0 \( j6 r- K

Just for this time in my life. / j) f" X; M2 d/ k5 b9 o

Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.
