EDMONTON — The West Edmonton Mall has reopened after police investigated a suspicious package Tuesday morning.8 j# k$ D; Y$ J% Q9 v( X7 j
9 R$ p! S- K8 n v9 t) V! G' U
The item, which turned out to be a DVD player, was reported to police just after 8:30 a.m. and officers swooped in to shut down entrances to the shopping centre.

Police evacuated the mall, and a short time later determined the package was merely a DVD player left on a bench outside the SportCheck store.
