2 O' V' x1 h( m1 `) S/ WA firefighter uses an extrication tool at the IIHS Vehicle Research Center in Ruckersville, Va. during a First Responder Emergency Extrication event. Fire departments from the Mid-Atlantic region tested Holmatro gear on late-model cars provided by State Farm. The event was hosted by IIHS, State Farm, the National Auto Body Council, the Craftsman Auto Body Group and Holmatro. (All photos for this story: IIHS)
