An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned. CBC's Nelly Gonzalez reports.

7 }2 ~& T- v, K; E& I3 MAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.

, x7 s( d E9 OShe lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.0 a! R v& `& e9 W, b. d

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned., E: r) D1 u4 w" Y7 w

Search efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.$ j: P* S# d" J H8 P" H

& S! ]% ^& n0 p& [# n9 {A Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV.
