An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned. CBC's Nelly Gonzalez reports.

" J7 J- b; t4 v) i5 [According to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12." v* W/ a2 d) C2 K# j
5 o" y# Z! V& x' w3 P3 U' _She lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.

4 v) s F% V* q( C0 x$ B+ QSearch efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.

A Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The names of the man and woman are not being made public by the RCMP.
