Newcomers are being offered some help when shopping for a home in Edmonton’s tight housing market.
- u- m' @: F& v! aImmigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents.

In the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items. : g- Q4 t" U6 k4 [4 ` f- n
y7 b, H0 A/ X) F+ X/ Y; y! q“The tools are a symbol of hope for people trying to build new lives in Edmonton,” said Madeline Sarafinchan, president of the Edmonton Real Estate Board. # [7 W3 A" H8 F7 P1 G# \1 Y
