Position Title: Community Development Worker
7 t7 e$ _2 z$ a9 p- iHours of Work: 17.5 hours per week
3 `3 ^3 ~% }! p8 _, D5 XKey Responsibilities
" S& Y. D# G' g. w/ l-community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
7 a* P; Q7 Q  G/ k, |-workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
; U) P* ~5 S' _- [. q" [' G% {-fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
$ X* X* V5 U; N8 w4 r-develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.
-participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
$ |& s+ {& W7 ?$ ]) a-demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
" d0 x! H4 u7 u8 b# q& e, u. p' \-participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
$ W  ?! l6 _8 C6 p2 b-write quarterly and final reports for ISP
1 _; S0 a4 ^/ D' C) U-assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
1 F+ s& |' W; a4 z-update membership database
4 M* w$ M% v# U3 A( L( m, s2 J-work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
-degree in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
-good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-experience in community work and immigrant services
