Engineer report和home inspection是一回事吗

最近要买一个房子，因为房子属于在小山丘上地势是斜的，所以中介建议做个engineering report，但是他又说和home inspection不一样。
) R8 l- [/ [; W2 o新手买房，求大神们指导一下，或者推荐一下分别做这两个项目的公司或个人

兩碼子事， engineer report需要有資歷之工程師檢測簽核; home inspection, not officially governed, IMHO, not necessarily a must, often a waste of money.

Engineering report sounds like a geotechnical investigation to me, involving bore holes at your site.
0 P& R6 [* B3 LSome builders do provide this report.  Engineers would use the bore holes information to recommend the type of foundation for a house.  Usually houses in here are on spread footings, but it is not uncommon that some of they are on piles where at the unstable soil conditions.

怕得罪realtor, 不按事实写报告，可能认为我们不懂英语。当我们指出后，说钱可以不要了。

细节就不说了。建议找个懂结构的Inspector.
