what you've just described is a fine example of work place verbal abuse, if you did shout this out to your co-worker in the work place,as you claimed,which i seriously doubt, you'd be subjected to an investigation from HR, given that you work for a legitimate business that does have the common HR standards / regulations in place, it could probably resulted in the loss of your employment.

by the way you talk, i am confident that you are no legally defined "engineer", you are probbly some middle-age man working in trades, you just get frustration accumulated from working in a trade environment that is full of uneducated rednecks and your ethnicity is constantly challenged or given inappropriate level of attention (for lack of better words) on a daily basis.1 L' W# p/ _& k" {* w

before you vent whatever is going through your mind, you have to give it a thought and think about how to properly address it, particularly in public such as work place. it is called " politically correctness".
