JOB FUNCTIONS:

1 S: I( y  i8 u) ^• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

1 l9 p6 V/ q$ o4 a• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

; r  a$ O+ n1 d$ E: k! a• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

0 {: Z$ O; I- ~7 C• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

2 ~3 M  ~8 F9 t3 d9 {• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

) H. }$ c, D$ ], {• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

, z/ ]1 J9 I- V9 W3 k- p• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

; B. R# J7 `, s2 ^2 z5 N3 ^• Document activities for future assessment analysis.

• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

• Shift work, overtime, and 24 hour on-call support may be required on a regular rotational basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5 years of telecommunications experience.
, c$ c# |' S) u
2 ~1 y$ i8 Y) F! j• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrated investigative, problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

• Standby, overtime and shift work is required.

• Must possess a valid Alberta driver's license and have a clean driving record.

-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
