recall是什么意思？

我觉得recall就是汽车生产厂家把汽车召回重新处理和维修，但是具体怎样操作不是很清楚。
" z1 r, N2 L2 C* z0 F" T5 ^比如，2000年的Ford Focus有9个recalls，那么是不是市面上的2000年的Ford Focus车都经过了重新处理和维修啊，这9个安全隐患都消除了啊？
1 `5 w1 g  H6 Y1 w4 g4 Z会不会有的2000年的Ford Focus车没有经过处理和维修,还在路上跑啊？
