Position Title: Outreach Worker
Terms of Employment: Temporary(3 months), Full Time(35 hours per week)

Job Description
# d5 W% Q, d1 L6 f7 J  g5 |) z-promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
, [, y3 x; ?- k  {-promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
$ @+ ?8 Y& R) d-develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
8 n  [! D9 t* D  H5 r-recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
3 q' R4 b  Z' ?, L  D5 T2 i+ a-promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
-outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
-attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
-adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
$ r; L$ k' K7 L9 R3 X* s( G, N5 d-assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
-other duties as assigned

Qualifications
-degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
-knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
* p0 i; e) d" C& t$ _+ O* `1 A-good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-fluent in English and Chinese
; M, o( E; F" @6 M-good interpersonal and people skills
