1 t8 Y2 M6 t- o0 sPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

4 ~: J9 y/ S" }* y1 Q1 e4 L0 G, F• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
" l: @& Q. H: o) y# }% ~' q• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
. o$ a }' p( ]• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately; \ G3 d) f- V& \$ t! Y* v
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
4 J1 w6 q$ u) W• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 V+ v" s) J, F- o* ^0 ]2 u: h• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker# I# |: K. u% [# V
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events% w& ~: a5 P$ L$ D2 Z1 a+ h9 K
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events0 ?( P& g; i' i
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
' J# O* X4 g: x. \• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:2 |$ `1 a7 C# V. F8 _
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person3 Q* c# u& O* @7 }! F
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
# k6 c g z3 ~& K4 o+ {$ ?6 T3 {8 A& W• Good English writing and oral communication skills
7 `6 f+ q! a, x• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
" x/ {( B- Z8 _• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:
9 V" ?( U. F+ L- h1 M& p• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience Z3 N' _/ x3 M0 Z8 u
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
4 ]8 m+ [2 W$ r% w+ m( V4 y• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
9 W, z5 L. q- O" q5 d• Ability to work well under minimal supervision" _& C6 v, g2 f% g3 k4 B
