Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. & F+ X* `7 U1 V. ^

Key Responsibilities:& {+ [/ K0 Q5 K3 |; a2 w
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
- ]" x3 C- ]) @1 i* y& ^• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST8 t2 D- ~% b! C: m1 r
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately$ v3 Y' \ \8 d: u( ?0 U
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter9 u8 m( C( K9 X) c9 f
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
& C. e/ C! X6 t, [3 @4 f1 ?• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
) r5 y" ]& N8 t9 E# X9 l+ K1 W7 c• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events; q% K; `* Q3 j6 y
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

, f" @# v' I! A1 v! f• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- h3 J- f6 Y; e
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person" @3 s) i! x$ _& p, q6 x
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
5 p5 e& ~2 E& t, G4 B; j3 E• Good English writing and oral communication skills
+ j) n6 T5 W# v! \& p• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients& [+ C* @! G! D' ]) S) V7 f3 F. U
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

) B R( E. _0 P8 A- H* R7 t• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds) ^, J; |* p' a4 b' `
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment; B( [0 P. z, l8 }
• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:
Q( F$ H: z: [+ R0 G- w, n• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
+ V& y+ T3 N2 e! f• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
8 n. i; Q3 A. S& T" r• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism% K, F1 f. b1 q. Q8 v1 G
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
