Edmonton police have arrested and charged a 26-year-old man with a weapon offence, following several recent gun complaints in the southwest community of Riverbend.+ v( L1 G) U# v7 o

A male wearing a balaclava and carrying a handgun was spotted by a pedestrian walking in the area of Falconer Road and Riverbend Road at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.3 l( ~* \! B/ P$ h( p

Police arrested the man later in the afternoon at the Terwillegar Recreation Centre, after receiving a tip from a resident. 9 f |, K% a7 E6 j3 u6 q6 E5 j) r! R* W/ w8 K$ Q7 m1 C- h$ K
A search of the man's home turned up a BB pistol and balaclava matching the description given by witnesses.
