Key Responsibilities

-        recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers3 Q0 e- ?" J6 M8 _* |* Y. H& o) ^& ?' n 
-        train volunteers for ISP and provide duties% }2 _7 t2 w% F. |% z( k: R 
-        train volunteers for Centre and provide duties 
- R$ |! A3 m3 ?1 I: n-        provide volunteers for various programs  
1 x  T1 L" r% P) T- A  Y* M. l# H) \# i5 D-        coordinate, update Volunteer Manual 
# t8 x1 g* l# h7 w. D-        planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation 
1 O; R0 H8 x& f: Q-        participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities

-        assist in writing ISP proposals and reports

-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

-        promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

-        planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers " N8 ]: P8 Q' T4 |. U 
-        planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers ( V+ I% @/ A9 g9 c1 X3 s# _ 
-        consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications 
0 p) S0 ~4 e* v; z8 L2 B% O! ?-        degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education 
+ D( N8 I# h! S( j! Z9 n: E7 L-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills 
& D# p8 i7 E, l# ?5 d  f! _-        experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services% w& S: S' o1 c3 c; z3 J( t 
-        leadership skills/ G! e) d0 ^6 m1 `  a 
-        management and supervision skills3 \) P2 E/ u5 K2 Y+ K: f+ Z3 j 
-        exceptional communication, interpersonal skills
