- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
# m6 Z3 ?8 I* B- |7 s- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties# l ]6 N6 _3 l& K
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties3 n1 l* j! |0 r5 d
- provide volunteers for various programs
* R9 N4 X1 `+ }# H0 {- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
* H6 |* v9 x' I- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
* U# o, ~" j* a" d2 W; m- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
% ]+ z9 R% o! ~ D$ D- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services8 a! e6 B3 w. ^5 S6 i
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports0 n' p4 ]% Z9 D7 S2 S( P) O0 d7 X
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed/ f. V" _$ c$ X7 w
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
3 y& ^6 e2 j4 d8 ~- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
% i; q0 f1 |0 V+ c- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ! g( R9 D5 w; H( ]# k$ n8 u) u
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual ( S# M; J/ }8 E3 X; j- [
- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
/ Q# x+ }% S) r5 D& g* \- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers

Qualifications; ?( ]$ |! e" |5 q! U: J
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
; U1 I7 g) |" X8 K- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
! `- G, d$ R" Z2 E- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services2 m+ w' t- ^% A
- leadership skills
" Z$ T- S* @/ C/ ]. P- management and supervision skills* z! s( O1 M; k; ?
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills* \$ q1 h% ?' m2 v4 Y
