- submit information for community news # {. U: P3 \0 J* q: F3 M) T/ F' n
- provide volunteers to update membership database o- Q; i r1 O0 y: f$ V! N
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers x- V% z( x2 }. e& d
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
# S2 ?7 r5 v9 R1 o i6 Z- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties2 x% K* W% j% D/ U- ~: u8 t
- provide volunteers for various programs 4 v; s* |; V2 C r' r: [
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual+ \# L$ S+ Z; |6 T6 z* G+ M
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation% v$ h2 S! @5 A7 {( [
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
# t3 U9 M. `" L: H8 Z- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services7 m. Z. Q, H0 L# P
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed8 v( I# f- u/ ]/ f: o. v2 @# n1 W
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
% l. G+ C' |. N$ s/ _: @) x+ K5 ?2 w4 h- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
& M8 q1 Y. z0 c1 P1 X$ P3 Z; M- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers ! v0 r+ n4 U5 S8 M* ~; z
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis - B: {+ s0 l0 v2 o: ~8 E1 I4 Z5 m
- evaluations

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education% N; {" }2 y, {1 C4 ]6 r
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
$ j7 a' j- L0 @2 D$ q- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services7 Y3 T$ e2 M" a0 U4 r1 f
- leadership skills
% A8 ]2 v. [( F9 ?- management and supervision skills
( Q" ?( _6 t1 E* V- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills9 f H6 U" L3 P6 j1 a
