What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
$ I9 u: U- }) M% l! `/ p" ]- LEffective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:
3 C/ g3 [8 B" [4 e" N1) Any bodily injury or death;; W0 ]+ b% R+ j* p& f' R3 i5 K
2) A Hit-and-Run;
, I+ `* G; g2 Y! o' H% b( `3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;6 |, X. o% W3 r. g- l. G
4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;1 h9 P% \7 K( j" C& W0 ?! W
5) An out-of-province vehicle.$ D+ `9 A$ q* V4 }

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.
