Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker: Z$ [0 z3 y# z% t
Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

( F+ i( }4 r hWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
) j) n7 p# O- ]• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person" p/ d- w) ?8 I2 p$ x; {
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
' J) E1 j \1 [: w* L2 j( E• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately1 |$ J" C3 [4 s5 L
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 {7 S0 ^9 e' V; m; q% X• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents5 B& ~/ f* C/ O6 e* R
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
$ Y- O. I% }# Z, T6 U G2 C1 K. {" i• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
: S t. ]9 s3 f7 J- h• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

; I7 Z6 F& C% y2 }* v+ h• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

V: P0 C. c- L) z$ qKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ x0 D; x; j) {3 m• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person2 J9 w# G- _( w
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset/ |7 D8 R9 ?3 ?7 s; P Y/ t
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
- k+ V" Q) o J E3 e• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients+ W, t8 T, r5 F2 [; y* ~
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:& ]: G ~" W$ b7 H& e( N1 A4 |
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
9 `/ ^. b7 ^( R# | }! Z• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment. d& k" X0 p5 `- ^
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
! N+ U% q6 |: o• Ability to work well under minimal supervision" u$ K! a: V3 g) n7 t
