Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker5 h1 k4 a+ E( q
Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
- t9 v) V3 {* \# S4 C% D- p• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person) ]- ]8 d* V$ B
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
- k+ d- _- [, }$ |" n( J• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
' q# O, l2 {0 a; }- [3 o) Y• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter i# g& g9 S- L: i' m5 c
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents6 a4 D) E; i3 a( p+ G
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
6 Y" g4 s; C) w- \• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
) N* N% |9 X# h* c• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

r+ z/ b# F* {' r; p• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:9 F+ d7 V& |# f* g, X7 s, o
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person% S5 b8 l! m `: A$ n! e
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset0 o9 C# t5 S8 C Q/ p0 u1 z$ _
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
) `3 K. d" |8 x! p% C9 ^• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients8 j( q H4 r9 N( H6 p4 ?9 {
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds9 t1 \# E+ a: y g) T: d6 P% g

• Knowledge of immigrant services

; q- B# e& s+ `" V% {1 e• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 1 `! ]" D' K3 Z/ E% r4 s0 h
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
" T6 x* H+ z3 [2 V. t% Z• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism3 c& L9 h0 t5 |, J2 }( U/ X/ |% }# ]. K
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision! C2 _1 h: h3 e
