-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
7 |& G( u, L- m' @. ^! K. ?( Stechnology;
-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
9 Y( Q0 w; h7 _5 a8 n- C* @-        Participate in peer reviews;
5 S/ m. q- L0 ]4 Z* Y+ V- ^-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
; w( H6 i& B  z6 d9 h4 X-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
# t, r4 m4 d% m7 {-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
1 v% B' k% g! h. F9 O5 D+ n" g-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
0 T3 }5 D4 s6 I1 \) T-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
* V: {8 d2 e5 k% x5 y6 h4 v8 e-        Excellent written communication skills;
) U% ~. }& p6 H: X+ W-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
  `+ M- s9 y: d# l( t0 h% P. x-        Understanding of project management.

3 C$ T4 q! g' O$ e% i7 _( RA. Mandatory Requirements
, j  P' R! X* B1 c, J, [# o7 w; F5 N(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.
& B8 R7 }- x" C* S
(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)
) h  h# g. ~. M# r/ a$ l. O' q
# w: D8 ?/ J. W% [(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).
& W% j, C# h4 g! L
(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers
  r& V( [7 q+ [, w( E" M$ k& _
(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

3 z# O# i7 p- n  d  ?B. Desirable Requirements
(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
1 w2 x1 Q3 F& L, s9 L- Z& y0 O- Infragistics controls
% f7 ~0 z# ^: Y- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
- Nunit
. ~# J9 x" a# X& H% U  ~- Crystal Reports

* j- |. @" C& D9 J(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
' c  _1 {1 z2 w4 \- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
$ j: p$ C2 G0 L/ A7 k  J- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
