, \$ J+ } @( m+ J* [0 Q' v• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed4 P- q: l4 [1 N$ W
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
+ I! M. }- K5 b& @; R- Z2 p• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
8 I( K% Z( B2 ?/ ]" {1 F• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
3 {% j3 l# z* Y, [• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place; Q T! a' K) l9 I. K
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment$ }( V# @- p9 y! R( e1 F
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
5 T' @6 h" L: z: l• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting8 [) u. k6 G# W6 P
• Mix paint, blend and match colors. O# W8 t( a6 T4 [3 G) o; K
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
* ?# l) n {# z8 e& n• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs0 ^9 y5 h& S$ R* O4 H7 a
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation

! O* A9 p: r+ }" H" C( _• Completion of secondary school is required
, h/ K, z$ i6 j2 j# N7 A& N M• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program

8 M! M- w6 D0 b; b0 mA combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
