, \$ J+ }  @( m+ J* [0 Q' v•        Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
•        Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
+ I! M. }- K5 b& @; R- Z2 p•        Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
8 I( K% Z( B2 ?/ ]" {1 F•        Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
3 {% j3 l# z* Y, [•        Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
•        Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
•        File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
5 T' @6 h" L: z: l•        Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
•        Mix paint, blend and match colors
•        Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
* ?# l) n  {# z8 e& n•        Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
•        Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
6 q  W3 X, v  R; z•        Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
1 d( h% {$ o) Y  r: `+ AEducation and Experience Requirements:
! O* A9 p: r+ }" H" C( _•        Completion of secondary school is required
, h/ K, z$ i6 j2 j# N7 A& N  M•        Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program
% ]0 U! x% s" \( s# v, J6 R& por
8 M! M- w6 D0 b; b0 mA combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
! X$ r, u! y: S2 l( B& ?•        Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
