Scope and Purpose of Job
2 x( }1 I( I* h9 M6 F% ?% BEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.

  Q! X$ a3 ?: r; `& ?$ d•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
' u! S7 @: L+ ^& \: [•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
2 H9 V' _3 I- e$ h; N. Q- A2 ]# i•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
4 W& {3 ?' W4 d9 z  E: B. U- po        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
•        Assist where needed in application questions.
/ a/ O; x" F, G, a: Y•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
% U" N8 L' ~7 [  Ko        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
7 h: v+ Z' d: P•        Track and report all warranty failures
o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
o        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
) P" X* b  P+ _" {3 e4 L•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
* x: ~9 h/ F; m" J- so        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
. E) i# ?* y9 o+ }# b8 ~o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
& Q& o5 r8 p) L6 {o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

8 r) C' A5 I6 f+ Z: K5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
# Z8 A5 e1 G! Y+ L1 Q1 i3 |List of Skills/Qualifications       
•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
' M( E5 L/ B+ v5 P) {5 Q•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
•        Proficient in software use and writing.
4 f, m& Y2 s' z$ O) W•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
