0 R( U: p9 S% @Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 2 ? Key Responsibilities:1 c! V" D; c _! X2 J8 V
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
& W: w$ v( @6 T7 y# R• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
6 s1 e) u. R- P0 g/ F. a% r• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately5 q% \7 t+ b3 e" K* [
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
- \, U- m( u" v0 U* `. v) P/ ]• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
/ r! T/ h& p# J" f5 M& r• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
3 f4 s1 K7 `1 r; w( U6 N• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker5 e5 ], w8 J5 @7 R
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ W& Z/ K& X; j8 C• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events( `& P' Y9 r; L9 B% _9 Y
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; Q& L" P7 B+ y$ W* D, j3 ~• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person% X& O j h$ [+ U3 ^
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset! ?2 }3 ]: Z/ X0 Z$ g7 y8 u
• Good English writing and oral communication skills/ u$ ~5 \ |, H) n9 V# Z: W* h
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients* N! K) T X6 O5 k! H& p
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook& J0 h9 u' _" B, g
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
' L4 Y' f2 c3 u- K• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
- I$ u6 b" \4 k• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment, [+ P) m6 U' _
• Knowledge of immigrant services% N0 ?% m) G' Y' [
Qualifications:
1 [0 N M" Z9 X _7 ^! [9 y• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 3 ]6 W5 L" t, b1 y% N
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment4 C: B( H2 N2 [$ q
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
6 \3 N, ^9 f7 Q• Ability to work well under minimal supervision5 b2 Y: M' W* @' e$ ]
