Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ! Key Responsibilities:
0 i8 D3 m4 `! b- h1 o• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person- z2 b8 D6 y, |0 S9 W
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
; W7 z, o" k) d: q D) v• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
6 O6 x' L% E- I5 ^$ U• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 N1 d0 @4 x7 g( W8 F: P6 r. _• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
& [% A7 W0 s- }8 V/ O7 X7 r• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents6 s; g; V1 Q+ k2 L8 L' J2 ?6 S+ ^( m
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker" a5 |! z% y- b; i
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events; V* j( _. L9 `+ x! U5 H
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events9 M) [/ E) }. p7 `
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean$ Y; p/ b: f8 y. a3 g+ t3 A9 Z
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters7 X G0 u( U' v; S2 k6 B j
• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
+ o0 G) K* w1 z) n5 W• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset C. n+ m3 d& H5 E9 m
• Good English writing and oral communication skills, j; }4 o# J) T8 W f
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients9 X0 V# j* S! Q
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
K- a. d' u, F" S) V/ L& {• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
) Q7 b* i( }5 M } s7 J• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment( F+ ]# q( o X6 ~& ?- c$ T3 u
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
* M' m$ `6 S3 V3 r5 N" i r& o• Ability to work well under minimal supervision: e+ |$ C5 @$ g/ P
