0 I: W& V1 G, M1 yPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 2 N* W2 W/ [: Y U2 }

Key Responsibilities:
) O% T+ I3 x+ |1 c& q9 P0 _6 B" ]5 N• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person3 |, |* O# k, r& C$ T* _9 e+ G) ]
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
& e! t( N8 u; o• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
; e. G6 i; ]* n• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter$ c% l. O& G& Q1 C5 G+ L
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings% F$ A) I. ^+ f( {- [% Y
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
; F2 s6 g0 G0 R3 e" R• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
" q7 q# m8 \ e# E+ M• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
; e' N! T% u ~• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
! R% M3 E$ r# A& C• Keep the reception area tidy and clean, e5 y, ~8 g4 v6 P
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters' f0 `! K' V2 ?6 f: Y
• Maintain front counter service files

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
; o. t3 `. O# |( g. I `- y• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset H. g/ A" K) E, f8 X0 f
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
7 Y8 D8 A) o: Q( L• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients: b/ e3 k! w1 P, q
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
) I$ l8 s4 [% b; U) v2 A" y1 C• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
% b1 S4 q a1 f6 Q• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds/ T8 Q" P$ P7 a- x: H

• Knowledge of immigrant services d9 b) V( E0 F/ Z
Qualifications:
. y) J* n2 S2 z" E4 q5 Y6 V• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience - @4 G) e0 y4 x
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment+ W- S0 F# H& V* u1 |6 Q
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
; d5 A) `# t" V+ P+ `! Y• Ability to work well under minimal supervision/ u$ p" O7 o/ R0 m. R2 _) B
