H1 K: k# c$ k& M' W' fYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

Payroll:
5 ^! }' r* A( w0 U$ ?• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
v. w) O4 b) t2 c' c• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll: l6 y1 _$ e- m7 V' {. v# {0 s
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
; j! u9 _7 S$ e0 T# K• Input benefit deductions into payroll

2 ~" D# J) `! h0 W# n" r, iReporting duties:
$ m' b+ \- N$ r& ~• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
0 ~+ W+ F2 Q( I5 D3 f• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
6 y, T, M4 |+ Z8 ~9 Q) @' \• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
@% Q* N0 o- q" r+ H% c• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority7 T7 l4 x& i+ w8 q: `, k
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll ) W7 ]! b _: d
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
* A. c4 b4 m6 \2 P• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
. e( L) @3 I3 T( C3 h; U# ?& \• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting8 i z" c3 q% @5 [" E3 G# r6 G; ]

/ u1 G9 o* _& Z$ b+ z9 F; B• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit r& e- R8 s+ e+ E3 r V
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
. _+ |" T: I7 {, n• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments& A8 {! c, X& j- T7 l( K" u+ B
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

* M8 v7 a# C& g3 ?- h4 A8 `Qualifications:
8 G6 K- ]' @3 k3 f$ x B; T3 I
# @- M* s Y( r/ \1 u: W( z• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP3 o6 m6 I, |' u" V5 O: }" \
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
( d \& s, P, G8 X" Y• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position0 O0 k7 e; N: j- `/ F
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office/ ^4 H! d( J6 e0 P6 H; q! ?
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work' H# ]5 W! s# M' @1 u
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure7 s5 w1 N5 J$ l( m
• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
! h Y9 l' ]8 V; A' h' c* ~4 I) y& P9 u1 E% w/ H0 K' w
