8 V% L! U% u0 @! \' f, O5 @Payroll:
; M7 n v. T) g( v• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
2 }6 q x) m- a* M- B• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
7 s/ `4 ^, R4 L+ P4 i5 j• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records 5 ~( F. P8 g/ x4 o8 b, \( r1 g
• Input benefit deductions into payroll% g( ]6 e ~/ P3 `1 y- }

1 t7 _& W* ]% ^8 p% u' l" i• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
. a( i' m% Y. C# [7 I& R• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
1 Z, m: w2 [9 f3 B$ R8 s• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s! ?) j8 U( ^0 a( S
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
! G( r. a" u0 D& ]7 {# N• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
) P- {* {6 ~3 s• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies9 |* ~' i% T3 d# L' s
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting# \0 _4 E" Q- k7 C$ E
' {5 ]$ @2 k, ^Accounts Receivable:$ d+ c: U5 D/ e; d6 A4 z
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
' N q7 T3 A \' t: m• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
4 u1 D) ~3 D9 e4 y' N6 U; c* B• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments) [# f0 ]7 z1 k4 o
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing5 Y4 }8 D& f& N4 b# u3 l

Qualifications:
A' S9 ]: Z( M$ b
! ~/ K, N" q3 d0 ]• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP- {& W; O* j. {+ T. _: `& o
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association; `$ q0 q, d0 x
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
S+ F* _& G5 W9 ?2 d+ m% K• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
' U3 {1 Y' o D# I0 v+ t1 }. n• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
7 T* l8 |2 @5 J% s6 Q+ T% _• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
! W% V3 |5 X2 D7 ^' N; i% q- K• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
