YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. # l: M5 _8 K+ N! P* x" q1 d- i
Job Responsibilities:

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired# `, d3 t8 G$ C* R L
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll6 O- |2 _6 _. U
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
. i6 x- O9 \0 P# d6 F• Input benefit deductions into payroll8 T+ p W4 G3 r& c2 x, |
& Y9 \9 y; y: M8 V7 W+ mReporting duties:& s( q4 z) _) M$ H0 k1 Q
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider4 T0 d7 F# W1 t
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
^1 k1 L/ N( V+ }; G• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s1 O5 N1 `- i2 l$ c, G% I
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority+ h6 c& v0 Q" M6 @; ~
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations0 G4 W/ m. ~" d( O/ n/ `% d! F

Compliance:: m6 m7 ~! a# {% A+ x
• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
& v- X; L, i- J. O$ o3 [+ T• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.' B3 F* _0 L9 H7 D1 q% k# p# Z
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies- Y& G5 d7 X; l/ Y; K+ {
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
9 b* M0 }2 `. b1 W• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
: M( w" [$ K* h% ]% j( p• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments) [( K" q: x6 y) k/ Q+ p2 ?
• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing3 W( l- C2 w0 @: S! u* C7 D

Qualifications:& j8 q" j4 O* A W# ^
4 w7 a: Z; p( r8 n1 z( S3 f• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP y* J, v# l5 g+ p
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association g8 U; {3 h$ @0 z r
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
- w+ F/ D0 N( \! M9 n1 C• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office# T: p4 A0 q. X
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
