Over last decade, I have used many window upgrade companies. Here are some of my suggestions:
7 l0 H1 P& R/ J' S& ]6 m5 u* c- You really need triple-pane windows ,not only for the sound proof, but for the Edmonton winter. The price is not much differnt from double-pane but the performance almost doubled;
4 M( M1 b7 |& H" f  J- I have tried many brands of windows, Hometech, Economic Windows, All-Weather windows, Jeldwen (by Home Depot). The best would be Hometech. All-weather is also good but the price is too high lately. I just had one big bay-window by Economic Windows in this April. Looks great but don't know how good for the real winter.
3 ^  y3 I5 \) Y  b5 S* k4 z, l- Stay away from craps like Durabuilt or Sunrise Windows. Cheap stuff.
