5 v: A$ \) o! [" fSEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.
. M6 B( O: C% @8 A/ r$ nSEDI is staffed to:
* r: ~! _9 F- n• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
; B/ j6 s8 e; d2 l8 @) k a# h• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners
) K I4 C6 M6 l• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation
; I$ \( f" O* u: _% e/ S1 j• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs * l" o4 ]; L3 E7 h, ^
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits ' Q+ m/ o9 n- L7 F2 e: l$ m! [' c
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses
+ k3 a9 d* B0 ? U. O• to work to reduce economic vulnerability in Canada
a. @# u% C6 |Primary Responsibilities and Activities: e8 h; q) x& k1 R! c4 V+ A4 M: z( V
• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada ; x. m T: C, k3 U! S& R/ f3 O
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
. b9 d; ^# U3 \5 O$ G+ l# x8 R$ B: |• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required 6 R* ^7 M$ `3 s1 r0 H8 p; s
• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
$ A' |9 K3 e* _4 _2 H• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
; _5 _' l z, x, M• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required

• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies , V& W/ l q. s7 w6 p
• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
- Q$ E, v2 t* l* Q! ~! [( R4 H• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting # @# K; D1 `" ^, [; J6 L, H
• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports & A/ X2 U0 _, Z1 b- C9 _4 L% D
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning 0 R2 K0 H/ f! ~6 S W3 q) K2 w8 h
Primary Qualifications: 2 X0 D# V3 k" z1 `+ W" w5 H! X
• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
( ]' F/ a; o2 r• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
" p( Y5 N0 n5 T4 @8 a2 R m! N• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training 7 P O" @# E- u0 ?% Z+ @3 P
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities + a# t1 t u4 K6 Q( c1 |5 X2 ^
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams 3 a! e4 X9 Y5 G; e. v5 _
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals
% c& S# _ g% V$ }& r• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts
" | u# N6 U, N: h# E: [+ V• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them ) b$ A& F7 ^- H' m
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc
* U' O% P3 ?8 L5 i% B$ s8 d• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education
$ k- u7 {, q6 |: g9 Y• Content / curriculum development experience
q0 O) E! o( k5 M$ z9 V4 f• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners

• Ability in French (both written and oral) is an asset
