Job Description& m- O5 e( Z6 p
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information! d% G/ R5 u% f# m7 P6 H
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
6 C3 c ~* r1 {. B- W- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP* v P3 o! a; D" S1 d$ ~! w$ G3 C
- provide support to ISP staff
6 ?3 E# o& N2 H: [- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members1 @; _! X1 U& g8 O9 [
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
6 ~' n/ p! Z. J4 r7 q. `- u/ B2 {) H- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
* S) ]. L( a* Q9 q1 n- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
/ m! L+ s" {( l+ Q& u6 i- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals2 N' b/ r. D' b3 N3 t
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
! L' Z4 h2 F; p. g j7 x$ l- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
+ V. k/ E8 c5 ? n: k# W' M- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities" F9 Q! g; J7 I
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned% g# P% Q; ]6 I$ G0 D

, d/ z0 g% G' [. `Qualifications
1 J2 @ {. ~' d- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
# I1 j, X: J8 ^. q, U- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available; S5 D, F2 U, I0 }( v
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
/ t c9 ]8 v1 Y+ r7 N1 u- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
. f- _6 d& w2 l; [- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
6 j5 ~* {$ x; g7 t% P9 H- good interpersonal and people skills
0 ?9 W+ Y. |/ f' S- good organizational and coordination skills
