Working closely with the distribution and warehouse teams, this position is responsible for load planning and balancing for Southern and Central Alberta
) c" U, ?1 a6 n. [7 g
( Z8 k5 ^8 Z& L2 W2 @0 _JOB DUTIES:
6 v7 Q& v& r+ T* ~        Balance loads efficiently in order to effectively utilize line haul trailer capacity;
, c& z* I# `" x, t- Y' X/ i        Load Tendering & Scheduling of Commodity Shipments
% `/ q* U9 d: m' W4 ^        Operational communication with all Transport providers
        Booking of delivery appointments when required
+ q5 M9 |( W( G1 G# J% f        Make recommendations in order to maximize efficiencies and reduce costs
        Various reporting functions, including cube analysis, carrier performance & compliance, etc.
5 O, N  o1 {- E+ ^! d4 B        Liaison between Route Settlement, Warehouse and Distribution;
        Special assigned projects;
        Other duties as assigned.

' \3 X$ f6 y7 z! k* @2 fQUALIFICATIONS:
        High School diploma or equivalent;
' B/ T! g! K6 U& X. {% K& Z        Post secondary education related to business or accounting is an asset;
3 G7 g6 ~0 _: B3 V0 l8 x) h) U- g        Experience working in a Distribution or Warehouse setting;
1 O$ ^" y$ y" x, x/ ^5 o* ~        Experience in the transportation industry an asset;
% d- b* }& i0 ]  B* X6 j        Proficient computer skills, including Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel)
        Self motivated, with the ability to work under pressure and establish priorities.
9 l3 F( U1 Z$ I/ g5 i        Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
        Strong organizational and analytical skills.
        Dependability and proficiency in current position.
