访问学者想租房

鄙人将于9月中下旬（据说不是租房的好时间）赴爱城访学，具体在enterprise station附近。我个人想在该处步行距离内租一个卧室（最好$600以下）。不知各位前辈有何建议。据说Downtown不太安全，能否说具体点吗？
另外，如果租远一点的房子的话，公交系统发达吗？每月的交通费是多少？地铁和BUS的票能通用吗？

一般和人share room的价钱在300-500之间,600稍稍高了些. 这个价钱一般已经包含了所有的水电+internet
月票80多,地铁,bus全包

downtown,晚上不出来瞎转悠，应该也没啥大事儿。

另外，如果租远一点儿的房子，最好有公交或者地铁直接到你工作的地方，不用倒车，也挺好。
