Alberta College is governed by an independent Board of Governors 7 G5 a2 y2 }" H# H
drawn from a wide cross-section of the community. Established in
+ F& H( L. C6 V( e1903, Alberta College predates both the City of Edmonton and the
' ~6 B( n! f) M/ v0 [5 _' QProvince of Alberta. It was founded by concerned citizens as the
* y/ j' c% J. J- ~) \7 U( tfirst post-secondary school in the area, on land bequeathed by

initially had three departments: academics, commerce and music,
