1903, Alberta College predates both the City of Edmonton and the + d6 { o3 }" w+ d6 N) h- {0 Y
Province of Alberta. It was founded by concerned citizens as the
9 Q$ q' B3 y8 lfirst post-secondary school in the area, on land bequeathed by 8 M5 d* q4 p0 q d( ^ u: e8 @) Z ~
pioneer George McDougall for educational purposes. The College . T$ F8 a: ]8 g! o8 i
initially had three departments: academics, commerce and music,

university

This tradition continues today with the launch of the

edge career programs in 1999. The International Music Academy is
