We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

% a8 G4 G8 q0 [8 v0 v3 h; dReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

. u! U0 i/ Q) M6 V& O7 AResponsibilities may include:

7 M' R  k# R+ l8 D- V- _5 C! G- Gathering and documenting requirements;
/ p6 p) M! s6 y5 ]- w7 k( T
; D" `4 m% {! s- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;
4 c, l7 \$ z5 R
- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

9 I. s1 M  k9 F/ |9 Y- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

# Q5 T; a8 F& i; N: e$ u/ T- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

1 L8 P1 ?& E  ?- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;
