We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

8 d/ F+ V2 c0 PReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

- q1 x6 P* p% \9 U1 j) r% e, s- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- a& g1 u& @. J& o4 D8 [# n; ]- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;
! T2 \4 \2 u; G  \& m( R# ~( F6 r! g
- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

2 K0 @$ E' [5 t3 ^  Z: Y8 O- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

& K9 p* t$ e% E% f: t4 l- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

1 T% y+ K+ L0 Y4 W/ `. L! ?/ n( d5 L- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;
