3 k) i, z4 |, b3 O0 b8 Z; CDear friend/colleague: Immigrant men & their families face many challenges. The intense demands of adjusting to a new society put tremendous stress on their lives. The issues are many, including: affordable housing, fair employment, income security, schooling, parenting, gender roles, recognition of foreign qualifications, cultural & legal awareness in Canada, spirituality, conflict. The Immigrant Men Advocacy Network is an attempt to address these challenges.

Looking for a few good men 鈥?Grounded on adult transformative learning & community development principles, this initiative will actively engage both the coordinators/participants in defining the outcomes/benefits. Participants will play a key role in their own advocacy & leadership training and will actively monitor their learning process & action. The Immigrant Men Advocacy Network will provide the grounds for immigrant men to speak about their issues & contribute to solutions.

Diversity & Inclusion: At the core of this effort is the hope that by becoming their own advocates, they will constructively impact on policymakers & engage in active-citizenship. We hope to develop a sense of community, inclusion and solidarity among immigrant men, beyond ethnicity - but as people first!1 b* I+ c1 z1 z/ t; K7 o
& s+ Q! z3 e2 e% }" c
IMPORTANT: Participation is free & open to all immigrant men. In addition, an honorarium per workshop is available to immigrant men enrolling in the leadership / advocacy training series. Please share this info. with immigrant men you may know and who may wish to participate. Many Thanks!
